Hi, I’m Eireann!
My love of math and science began at a young age and eventually led me to pursue a degree in engineering. While I enjoy many areas of STEM, I have always been especially fascinated by physics and the way it helps explain how the world around us works. That passion is what inspired me to
choose Civil Engineering as a career path and continues to motivate me today.
Teaching and tutoring have always been something I genuinely enjoy. During high school, I spent time helping students in a variety of math and science courses, including working with AP-level students. I found it incredibly rewarding to help someone move from feeling frustrated and overwhelmed to feeling confident in their abilities. In my final year at North Carolina State University, I served
as a departmental tutor for the Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering Department. This experience allowed me to work with students from many different academic backgrounds and learning styles.
As a tutor, my goal is not only to help students improve their grades but also to help them build confidence in their own abilities. Math and science can seem intimidating, especially when concepts are presented in a way that doesn’t match how a student learns. I strive to create a supportive, judgment-free environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and exploring new ideas. I believe that with patience, encouragement, and the right approach, every student can develop the skills and confidence needed
to succeed.

Academic Accomplishments: Received a 5 on AP Statistics, AP Calculus BC, AP Physics C, and AP Biology. Inducted into North Carolina State University chapter of Chi Epsilon (the Civil Engineering National Honor Society).
